Well, the Raleigh Hurr... erm, North Carolina Hurr... erm, Carolina Hurricanes beat the Edmunton Oilers and won the Stanley Cup. (Strangely, I've not heard Holly/Awesome talk about hockey for months! And what DID happen to the Detroit Deadthings?)
The Hurricanes played like the old Chicago Blackhawks that I remember... physical, aggressive and focused. I have to congratulate them, though I also agree with Kat that "cities that have mostly warm weather should NOT have hockey teams."
Now... I have to wonder at the irony that the Canucks must feel for Edmunton losing at "The RBC Center."
"RBC" standing, of course, for "Royal Bank of Canada."
