pyroguysr's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mom I called my Mom a little over a week ago. She had the sniffles. Mom's 83 and has severe emphysema from smoking two packs a day since she was 14. When mom gets the sniffles now, you can almost guarantee that she will end up in the hospital. She did. That wasn't a concern, because she went in pretty easily this time (we usually have to pry her into the car to get her to go and she almost died from it last time). Anyways, there was concern on my part, but not big worries. My brother, Mike, calls. She's also had a mini-stroke and will go in for a proceedure tomorrow morning. Mike is heading up from Dallas. He has both the time and money to do this, for the most part. My brother Jim, lives close to Mom so he's there already, though he's the one that freaks out the most.
