pyroguysr's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fireworks OK. I got here and made it through Sunday's show with a minimal amount of sunburn and generally enjoyed myself. Starting tomorrow, I am beginning a killer schedule. I've taken on a show Saturday night with the other Jack on the crew (we're calling our crew "Jacks or better"). Then another show on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday... driving trucks back and forth to the bunker on Wednesday, another show on Thursday, drive up to Wisconsin on Friday and then Shoot a show on Saturday, come back on Sunday. While this sounds simple, you have to realize it involves getting up at 0-dark-thirty, driving for an hour or so, dragging out two-tons of equipment off a 24 ft Rental box truck that is packed back-to-front and top-to-bottom with equipment and explosives, setting it up (8-12 hours), wiring up the bombs, setting up the specialty shots, running a check, meeting with the fire commissioner, ATF, sponsors, making sure the police are there for security (we had some kids try to steal a box of fireworks last year) and then shooting the damn thing, then putting all the gear back into the truck and starting the entire process over the next day.
