Right To Work

Maybe some of my liberal friends can give me an clue on this: Right To Work States

As I understand it, if you live in a Right To Work state, such as Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Kansas, et al, you can go to work for a Union Shop but you do not have to join the Union. If the Union Workers go on strike, you can legally ignore them, cross the picket line (what do they call those people again?) and not have your job put in jeopardy.

If the Union Workers win a wage or benefit concession, the non-union, Right-To-Work worker gets the same benefits, even though they didn't fight for them. they get the same wages, the same benefits, the same retirement, the same hours, the same everything...

...All without having to pay those union dues and go out on strike!

I ask you, is this fair? If so, why? Do you agree with the worker that doesn't join the union, yet benefits from what the union workers fight for? And if not, why not?

If you are liberal, I'd really love to hear your opinions on this matter. Thanks!
