She began looking at the longer picture and let it sabotage things before we could even get it off the ground (she lived in Iceland). This time, the rebound won't be as difficult because I am also seeing a poly woman from my local D/s group on the side. Don't know that I have any feelings for her other than she wants to be dominated. Hell, she's only 4 years older than my son! But she will soften this latest rejection a little. Still hurts, though.
